It is an outrageously hot day again.
-
Stuck in the groove as it t’were; kind of lost in the shuffle this one was actually the first I did and abandoned left all alone to fade into a sort of oblivion…well, I’ve indulged my need for hyperbole and the trite. As John Lee Hooker says “It’s in ‘em and it’s got to come out.”
-
What do I really want to say about this small painting except it opened a new direction for me and showed me where I might be able to go.
-
There is the fact I like plants and perhaps the native plants of the Southeastern United States most of all.
-
At one point I had plans of becoming an Organic farmer but that didn’t work out and I miss the horses (Shakar, Bullet and Miss Melody, the Missouri Foxtrotter), most of all.
-
Botanical art has always fascinated me and seemed beyond my grasp…something tied up in stifling detail and exactitude admirable and unachievable.
-
I’m not a Botanist but I am an autodidact so this could be fun…What’s important is what you learn after you think you know everything.
-
Maybe I just never looked close enough.
